This is Delmonico's first appearance in the Opening Day brand.
As mentioned in the Stats post about rookies, Delmonico has a different photo than the one used in Series 1. The one above was also used for the White Sox Factory team set.
Something I learned because of this card: I didn't realize Tennessee was such a hotbed of baseball talent. I think Delmonico is the 3rd or 4th guy I've profiled already from TN and now I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple more by the time I'm finished.
Nicky's dad, Rod Delmonico was the head baseball coach at the University of Tennessee's from 1990-2007 and also coached the Netherlands national team at the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
