Something I learned because of this card: I'm a National League guy so the American League gets lost in the shuffle a bit for me until the playoffs. The top 3 AL ROY candidates were all from the American League East. In what was essentially a race for second place behind Aaron Judge's first place vote sweep, Mancini finished third, also behind Andrew Benintendi of the Red Sox.
This is Mancini's first Opening Day card.
The photo was the same that was used in Series 1 and the Factory Team set. However, in those sets, Mancini had the Future Stars designation. Actually, there are no Future Stars in Opening Day. Maybe they thought the extra OD logo would make it too cluttered?
Cubs Ties?: None
