Something I learned because of this card: Khris Davis found some extra power after being traded to Oakland, with back-to-back 40+ home runs seasons. On May 17th, 2016, Davis became the second player in history with a 3 homer game that included a walk-off grand slam. Joey Votto of the Reds was the first.
This is Davis's second Opening Day card after appearing in last year's set.
The same photo was used for Davis's Seres 1 card and the A's Factory Team set card, however, he did have a short print photo variation in Series 1.
Cubs Ties?: None
Looking at the Getty image, I think this would have been better as a horizontal card.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too but I have a well-known bias towards horizontal cards.
