Something I learned because of this card: The card back makes note of leadoff power. Leadoff homers seem to be a thing these days. Ian Happ started the season with one. I feel like I hear about a SpringerDinger all the time. I remember it being a big deal for Rickey Henderson to have so many, especially because he was known as a speed guy too. I can't find the active leader in leadoff home runs and maybe nobody will break Henderson's record, but it does seem to happen with more frequency.

Conforto's mother, Tracie Conforto (nee Ruiz) is a 3x Olympic Medalist (2 golds in 1984 and a silver in 1988) in Synchronized Swimming. One of the golds and the silver was in solo synchronized swimming. I didn't know that was a thing. And now I do just because of this card.

This is Conforto's second Opening Day card. He appeared in 2016 with RC and Topps All-Star Rookie Cup logos but was passed over last year.

Conforto was featured with the same card in Series 1. However, he did have a photo variation.

In an interesting turn of events, despite using the same card for Opening Day as it did for Series 1, Topps did go with a different photo for the Factory Team set.
